Online English teacher (Home based) in Park City, Illinois

In China learning English is a part of the varsity curriculum. Qkids provide teachers a platform via their software to show and enhance their student's English capabilities. The degree requirement is either you're holding a baccalaureate or currently pursuing one from an accredited college. You will be teaching up to three students per class where children aged 5-12. you'll be performing on the standard peak hours in China, where classes are running on the weekdays and extra late-night Fridays and Saturdays for half-hour each class. The teaching materials are provided from their side.

QKIDS is a web English learning platform that permits Chinese and other students to find out English at a young age through an interactive, fun-filled, and interesting platform. They hires North American foreign teachers to impart English education to Chinese students. Under the umbrella of Xiamen Qianshi Technology Co. Ltd., Qkids was established in 2015 to deliver English language sevices for youngsters aged 4 to 12 through a technologically advanced content, impeccable learning environment, and customer experience. The Qkids education system allows students to urge quality education at their doorstep to foster mental growth in children through exploration, knowledge-seeking environment, and experiences. Responsibilities

Teach English to learners between 5 - 12 years aged through Qkids’ interactive online teaching platform. Each in-lesson time is half-hour. All curricula are preset and incorporated with animated characters and games. Training, further coaching and support is provided.

Available to teach a minimum of 6 hours (12 lessons) per week. There are 19 hours (38 lessons) available weekly.

Qkids class time slots

7 days every week - Morning Eastern Time (AM - EST): 5:40-6:10, 6:20-6:50, 7:00-7:30, 7:40-8:10

Plus Friday and Saturday - Night Eastern Time (PM - EST): 7:40-8:10, 8:20-8:50, 9:00-9:30, 9:40-10:10, 10:20-10:50

Technical requirements:

• a computer with stable internet connection and clear audio/video capacity
• A computer with a webcam
• A headset with microphone
• Stable Internet connection (cable connection recommended/preferred)
• Minimum upload speed: 2Mbps. Minimum download speed: 4Mbps.

Preferred: English teaching certificates (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, ESL)

How much do i get paid?

$16 – $20 USD an hour (2 lessons), each in-lesson time is half-hour.

The base pay is $8 USD per lesson. You'll also earn attendance bonus and performance bonus, $1 USD each, calculated weekly. With full bonuses, the pay is $10 per lesson.

All teachers are going to be paid via bank transfer to your U.S. or Canada bank accounts. The transfer fee is roofed by Qkids. The pay date is not any later than the 15th of every month where you'll get the salary of previous month. The pay date will automatically reach subsequent week in the event of any Chinese national holidays.
